What you can and can’t do with ResumGO templates, in plain words.
Free for personal use: download, edit and use any template to create your own resume, CV or cover letter, or one for a friend or family member, free of charge.
No attribution needed: you don’t have to credit ResumGO anywhere on your resume or cover letter. Send it to as many employers and recruiters as you like.
Edit everything: change the text, colors, fonts, sections and layout in Microsoft Word or Google Docs to fit your needs.
Not allowed: reselling or redistributing the templates (edited or not), offering them for download elsewhere, using them for paid resume-writing services without permission, and hotlinking to ResumGO files.

1. Introduction
Who we are: ResumGO.com (“ResumGO”, “we”, “us”) is owned and operated by Christophe Barroche, dba Ofeex, 3903 Glenoak Dr, Pearland, TX 77581, USA.
What these Terms cover: these Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ResumGO.com and its services, including downloading and using our resume, CV, cover letter and portfolio templates (“Templates”) and our online tools.
Acceptance: by accessing, downloading or using any part of ResumGO.com, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website or the Templates.
Age requirement: ResumGO.com is intended for users who are at least 13 years old.
Changes: we may update these Terms at any time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Privacy: our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected and processed.
2. Intellectual Property
All content on ResumGO.com, including the Templates, designs, graphics, images and text, is the intellectual property of ResumGO or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. Downloading a Template gives you a license to use it (see section 4), not ownership of the design.
3. What We Offer
Templates: free resume, CV, cover letter and portfolio templates, mainly for Microsoft Word (.docx) and Google Docs. Some designs may also be offered in other formats.
How they are delivered: Word files are available by direct download from ResumGO.com. Google Docs versions open as a copy in your own Google account.
Online tools: free tools such as the ATS Resume Scanner and the ATS Text Extractor (see section 8).
4. License
When you download a Template, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, free license to use it for the purposes listed under Allowed Usage. Any other use requires our prior written permission.
5. Allowed Usage
Within the limits of section 6, you may:
- Create your own resume: download, edit and customize any Template to create your resume, CV, cover letter or portfolio.
- Help someone you know: use a Template to create a resume for a friend or family member, free of charge.
- Apply for jobs: send your finished resume, in Word, PDF or printed form, to as many employers, recruiters and job sites as you like.
- Keep copies: keep your edited files and reasonable backups on your own devices or cloud storage.
- No credit required: you do not need to mention ResumGO on your resume or cover letter.
Example: Downloading a template, adding your own experience, saving it as a PDF and uploading it to a job application portal.
Example: Editing a template for your brother’s first job application and emailing him the finished file.
Personal use means use with no commercial purpose: the Template is used to create a resume for an individual, not to earn money from the Template itself.
6. Not Allowed Usage
Unless we have given you written permission, you may not:
- Resell or redistribute the Templates, edited or not, or sell, sublicense, transfer or give access to them, for free or for a fee, online or offline.
- Make the Templates available for download on another website, portal, social network, group, file-sharing service or document platform.
- Use the Templates to create templates or design resources for sale or distribution on marketplaces such as Etsy, Creative Market, GraphicRiver or similar services.
- Use the Templates for paid services, such as resume-writing, career-coaching or recruitment services offered to clients.
- Use the Templates for illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene or offensive content, including fake resumes or false credentials.
- Hotlink (link directly) to any file or image hosted on ResumGO.com.
Example: Uploading a ResumGO template to your own website, a Facebook group or a shared drive so other people can download it.
Example: Adapting a ResumGO template and selling it as your own design on Etsy.
7. Sharing & Linking
Share the page, not the file: you are welcome to share a Template by linking to its page on ResumGO.com. You may use its preview image, as long as you upload it to your own server.
No hotlinking: do not link directly to download files or images hosted on ResumGO.com.
Example: Adding a “Download this template” button on your blog that points straight to a ResumGO .docx file instead of the template’s page.
8. ATS Tools
What they do: the ATS Resume Scanner and the ATS Text Extractor give automated, informational feedback on how applicant tracking systems may read a resume.
No guarantee: results are estimates. ATS software differs between employers, and a score or suggestion does not guarantee that a resume will pass any system or lead to an interview.
Your files: only upload files you have the right to use. How uploaded files are handled is described on each tool’s page and in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Templates, tools and all content on ResumGO.com are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the content is error-free, compatible with every version of your software, or that using it will lead to a job offer or interview.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ResumGO will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the website, the Templates or the tools.
11. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the information you add to a Template and for making sure your resume is accurate and truthful, and that your use of the website complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and your use of ResumGO.com are governed by the laws of the United States. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United States.
