• Reselling, sublicensing or redistributing the templates, edited or not.
• Offering the templates for download on another website, social network, group or file-sharing service.
• Using the templates to create templates for sale on marketplaces such as Etsy or Creative Market.
• Using the templates for paid services offered to clients (resume writing, career coaching, recruitment).
• Using the templates for fake resumes, false credentials or any illegal or offensive content.
• Hotlinking (linking directly) to files or images hosted on ResumGO.com.

No. You don’t need to mention ResumGO anywhere on your resume or cover letter. Once you’ve added your information, it’s yours to send.

Yes, as long as it’s free of charge: helping a friend, a family member or a classmate is welcome. Creating resumes for paying clients is a commercial use and requires our written permission.

Not without permission. Paid resume-writing, coaching and recruitment services are commercial uses, which our free license doesn’t cover. If you’d like to discuss it, contact us and describe how you plan to use the templates.

Yes, by sharing the link to the template’s page on ResumGO.com. You may also use its preview image, as long as you upload it to your own server.

Please don’t upload the template files themselves or link directly to our download files and images.

Any use that isn’t explicitly allowed requires our prior written permission. Contact us with the details of your project and we’ll get back to you.

No. All templates are free to download, with no sign-up, no subscription and no watermark.

On each template page, scroll past the description to the download block. Choose MS Word to download the .docx file, or Google Docs to open your own copy in Google Docs.

When a template comes in several colors or includes a matching cover letter, each version is listed with its color dot and file size.

Click the Google Docs button on the template page. You’ll be asked to make a copy, which is saved to your own Google Drive (you need to be signed in to a Google account). Your copy is private and fully editable.

Many templates are. When colored dots appear under the preview image, click a dot to preview that color: the matching files are then highlighted in the download block.

You can also change the colors yourself in Word or Google Docs after downloading.

The .docx files are designed for recent versions of Microsoft Word (Microsoft 365 and Word for Windows or Mac). They also open in Google Docs, LibreOffice and Apple Pages, but some layouts may shift slightly in those programs.

If a font used in the template isn’t installed on your computer, Word replaces it with a default font, which can change the layout. Install the missing font (most are free, for example from Google Fonts) or choose another font you like and adjust the spacing.

Unless the job posting asks for a Word file, a PDF is usually the safest choice: it keeps your layout exactly as designed on any device. In Word, use File › Save As › PDF; in Google Docs, File › Download › PDF.

The paper size is shown on each template page. To change it in Word, go to Layout › Size; in Google Docs, File › Page setup. Check the result afterwards, as you may need to adjust margins or spacing slightly.

Our ATS-friendly resume templates use simple, single-column layouts and standard headings that applicant tracking systems read reliably. More creative designs look great when read by people, but may be harder for some ATS software to parse.

Tip: when applying through an online portal, choose an ATS-friendly design and keep important information out of headers, text boxes and images.

Two free tools to check how an ATS may read your resume. The ATS Resume Scanner gives a compatibility score with suggestions, and the ATS Text Extractor shows the raw text a system pulls from your file.

Results are automated estimates: every employer’s software is different, so no score can guarantee a resume will pass a specific ATS.
